The GEFCO 40K sits above the 30K in the GEFCO lineup — stepping up to 40,000 lbs of pullback and hold back, with air compressor options reaching 1250 cfm at 350 psi. This additional capacity opens the door to larger casing diameters, deeper formations, and more aggressive drilling programs.
The 2024 generation of the 40K ships on Peterbilt 589 and Western Star 49X carriers and can be specified with telematics for remote monitoring. The casing hammer option on the 40K handles larger-diameter casing than the 30K system, making it the preferred choice for larger municipal wells and geothermal applications requiring 16–24" casing.
The 40K has a strong international demand profile. Export buyers — particularly in Africa and the Middle East — favour the 40K over the 30K for its greater capability and resale longevity in high-demand environments.
GEFCO (now Bauer Equipment America) continues active production in 2024, which keeps the new-build option accessible and provides strong dealer support for used units.
