Carrier-mounted heavy hoist with 130,000 lbs pullback and Range III casing capability. The T130 family handles the deepest municipal wells and large geothermal bores that smaller rigs cannot reach.
T130 / T130XD standard configuration. Individual units vary.
The Schramm T130 family represents the large end of the Schramm carrier-mounted water well lineup. Where the T685 handles most air rotary work, the T130 steps in when large-diameter casing, extreme depth, or the need for Range III tubulars demands more machine.
The T130XD (Extended Depth) incorporates Schramm's Telemast technology — a telescoping mast that allows 50 ft of head travel in a compact transport footprint. The tilting top head rotates 0–143 RPM with 106,600 in-lbs of torque, driven by the MTU/DDC 12V-2000 TA engine at 760 bhp. The 30" table opening and Range III casing capability allow deployment on the largest municipal and geothermal projects.
Carrier choice is the CCC (Crane Carrier Corporation) 10×4×4 multi-axle heavy carrier with an Eaton Fuller 8LL transmission and CAT C13 ACERT truck engine. The third lift axle manages transport weight compliance.
Air is typically supplied by a separate trailer-mounted compressor (Sullair or Atlas Copco) rather than deck-mounted, due to the size and power of the rig. This arrangement also allows flexibility — a single T130 can be paired with different compressor configurations depending on the formation.
Where the T130 earns its keep.
High-yield city supply wells to 3,000+ ft with 18–30" casing — beyond the T685's range.
District heating and geothermal power systems. Deep, large-diameter bores where the T130 is the minimum viable rig.
High-capacity dewatering wells at large open-cut and underground mines. The T130's pullback handles stuck pipe and casing.
Governments and NGOs procuring water access infrastructure in developing markets favour the T130 for its proven reliability.
Large-bore environmental wells and aquifer monitoring bores for government and industrial clients.
Large-scale commercial irrigation schemes requiring multi-inch casing and 1,000+ ft depth.
